very strong flag holder

I found this flag holder on Amazon.com and as I live in Germany it is often not possible or economic to order something from this site. But it was no problem with the flag holder and it arrived here in no time! Excellent! The package was huge, much bigger than required for such a mini flag holder but maybe there was no other way to ship it properly. The flag holder itself seems to be very robust and reliable. As there will be few to no wind where it stands that was not a point to think about when ordering - but I wanted it to stand straight on the ground - and it does. What I like on this flag holder in comparison to others is the "swirl" at both ends. It is decorative and prevents the flag from being pulled off by a strong breeze.

Flag stand, will not support much more

My wife purchased this to hold a wreath and lantern on a family grave site, but it was too flimsy to support the small solar lantern and drooped quite noticeably. We did attach a wreath, but had to buy a separate shepherds crook for the lantern. Of course, this is clearly labeled "Flag Stand" in the description and I believe it would support a small flag quite well. Just be aware that this will not support any weight from the hooked end that extends out as the steel is probably less than 1/4" in diameter. No fault of the manufacturer here, entirely our mistake.
