This is a STRONG rack!
By Bart on Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2025
I filled it with heavy oak, and the horizontal tubes barely flexed. Look at tube diameter carefully, because others are much more thin and very flexible. This one is thick and extremely strong.

Cover is Too Short
By Artist & Author on Reviewed in the United States on December 17, 2015
This unit is a good idea, and I got a lot of firewood, already quite dry, on it. However, it is assembled only at the bottom, and it shouldn’t take an engineering genius to know that as the wood is stacked higher and higher the tops of the ends will slightly spread apart. [There is no bar across the top part to keep the ends even with the bottom length. I might add that when assembling the unit I’d put a couple of extra washer between the leg and end pieces on the bottom bolts on the ends to try to prevent it from spreading.] Therefore, on my 12’ model, by the time it came to put on the adjustable polyester cover the top had spread apart about 6-8” wider than the bottom so the cover would not fit. I put my rack next to a chain-link fence and, fortunately, I’d put a 9’x12’ tarp down the back side (over the fence) so when the rack was full, I could pull it over the wood and down the front. [I live in the Pacific Northwest, and, as I write this we’ve gotten rain on six of the last seven days, so I figured I’d need extra protection.] I would suggest that the company make a bar to attach shortly below the curve of the top of the ends to keep the unit from spreading apart so the cover will fit. Alternatively, they should make the cover 6” or so longer to accommodate the spread. On a lighter note, I have two AKC miniature beagles, and they think the space under this unit is a great hiding and playing place!

Good price for it's purpose. Already have it almost full of wet wood ready to be seasoned.

After a lot of searching I picked this as it appeared to be the strongest construction and design. Easy to put together with a wrench, I’ve loaded it up and it’s holding just fine. I did buy a full cover separately as the included cover wasn’t enough coverage for my use. Most that came with full sided covers had poor quality so easier to just get a study rack and order a quality cover to save headache later.
good item for the money

rack seems pretty sturdy i haven't loaded it yet and the only issue i have is the bolts i got were not what they were supposed to be. not a big problem i just had to use a vice grip and a 7/16" wrench to put it together.
The rack arrived in perfect condition; all the parts were there - even some extras.

I was able to assemble it alone in about 20 minutes. It is now loaded and covered and feels very solid. I'll see how it wears, but so far so good.
Durable firewood rack!

After researching several other firewood brands, I purchased the ShelterLogic 4' rack. It arrived well packaged in a cardboard box and was very simple to assemble. This brand has much fewer parts to assemble that some of the others and the pipes are a larger stronger diameter. The rack is strong and fully loaded with wood is quite sturdy. The cover is heavy duty material with an innovative design that allows covering of the pile no matter how full the rack is. I'm very pleased with this rack!

Works and holds a lot

It was a little harder to put together than other racks I've put together. When it was all put together, it has a bend to it that it shouldn't have, but it hold the firewood like it should. It holds almost a quarter of a cord of wood, not a full quarter but close enough. It is sturdy, but time will tell if it will stand up to the weather. The cover doesnt really work well, but rigged it up to where it covers most of the top of the firewood. Other than that, its a good rack. Next time, I will have one made by a welder for the space I have. Will not order another when this one fails.
Seems sturdy enough, the cover fits weird.

Easy to assemble. I had extra bolts and washers, which is always disconcerting. Seems sturdy enough. Oddly the width of the rails are exactly the same as my cut wood, so they would fall through. I had to find longer pieces to put on the bottom to hold the stack. I don't think my wood is cut short... it's pretty standard and came from multiple sources, all the same size. The cover held up well through the first rain, so it certainly seems waterproof, however it fits oddly. If you attach it where the velcro is, it bunches up and doesn't fit squarely. The shape/size of the cutouts are elongated, so the outer side flaps need to sit lower... and the downward flaps really should be longer, and that third velcro strip should be moved lower. It's holding for now, but someday I may opt to sew extensions onto the flaps to make it fit better.
