AWESOME Set! Perfect for mini fridges!
By Kat on Reviewed in the United States on August 24, 2012
Buying happiness lists that there are divided containers for the 50 pc set. That is not accurate. According to the box the set contains:6 x 0.5 cups (118 mL)6 x 1.25 cups (296 mL)3 x 2 cups (473 mL)4 x 3 cups (710 mL)3 x 5 cups (1.2 Liter)2 x 7 cups (1.7 Liter)1 x 9 cups (2.1 Liter)Otherwise, this product is awesome. Easy to store, easy to use, and no damage yet, though I have just barely begun... They seemed to do a good job of handling hot soup being placed in the freezer without any damage to the containers (as far as I can tell). The big containers are great for fluffy/poofy things, such as leafy greens. The itty bitty ones would be useless except that I have a mini fridge now and can ration veggies into compulsive amounts for each meal/snack such that I will snack on fruits/veggies instead of Rolos and ice cream sandwiches. The rest of them hold soup without leaking or anything and they have withstood the dishwasher and microwave with ease.I purchased a couple sets of these containers outside of the 50 pc set to "try them on" before going all out with the 50 pc. I recommend doing that such that you can get an idea of whether the sizes and shapes are right for you. These containers might not be ideal for something like jello or ice cubes, unless you want to have large and boringly-shaped ice/jello. In that case, this product would be awesome!I especially recommend this product for use with miniature refrigerators because they stack well and if you take the trays out of the fridge, you can create a delicious wall of *soup. And your parents will be super jealous because their fridge is a giant wreck full of oddly shaped containers battling to not fall out the front of an overstocked, fungus-filled, All-American fridge. And yours nearly glows from the joy of hyperorganization. Well, except that my fridge has no light. But I rigged up some **holiday lights and now it is heavenly. Also, the lids snap together and they snap onto the containers. It is really quite pleasing. Have you ever had creme brulée? You know that delightful sound of cracking the surface of it? Or the same pleasure of bouncing on a fragile frozen puddle in the winter? It's like that. As in, it's awesome. And addicting. And you know you want to do it.My one regret is that the lids do not come with options of various colors. Don't get me wrong; I like the uniformity of it too. However, it would be nice to color-code my wall of soup. How will I tell the zuppa from the chicken gnocci? Perhaps it is time to invest in a label maker. A label maker that can withstand the perils which are endured by these steadfast Rubbermaid containers. A label maker with white tape and black ink. A label maker that spits out labels like it feels so good. Yes.*Soup not included.**Outside of the fridge, for the record.EDITED TO UPDATE:Have been using this for my diet and it is awesome. I got a little mini fridge and store all of my food separately from my family members. This set allows me to use up all space within the fridge and since they pack so tightly together, what starts off as frozen stays frozen (which, for me, is typically soup and veggies). Since I no longer have to interact with non-diet food in our home, I have been losing weight! I still eat some junk food if I earn it from exercising but since I don't have soda or any of their food, it is going well! Plus, I can have fun with my multilingual fridge magnets that have been banned from my family's fridge for several years. But this is not an advertisement for the fridge! This is an a rating of the storage containers. They are wonderful for they enable all of my dieting dreams to come true!I took a picture for you, Amazon. However, I am not sure how to upload it.

Many Unusable Sizes
By Bryan A. on Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2010
The actual functionality of the food storage containers is great. The snap lids are a really nice feature. However there are a couple issues not relating to the functionality but specifically this set. First, why doesn't this product just say 25 containers rather than 50 pieces. It seems like it can be deceptive for the hasty purchaser. That of course applies to all their container sets. My main issue is with the number unusable sizes in this package. Why does there need to be 6 of the condiment size containers (0.5 cup) I am guessing most people will not use this size... much less 6 of them at one time. The 1.25 cup size is almost just as unusable. It is not quite large enough to fit a lunch or any meal for the average person and again there are 6 of them! The containers most people would use the most are in quantities of 3. Why not 6? How about 2 of the tiny, 2 or 3 of the small, and 5 or 6 more of the decent sizes? Someone might be better off buying the smaller starter sets and purchasing the individual containers to suit their needs.
