Exceeded my expectations
By T. Malatesta on Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2015
I admit, I've been buying, almost exclusively, Wayfarer and Clubmaster knock-off sunglasses for over 30 years. I've always liked the styles, but $5-$40 a pop buys a wide variety of quality, not necessarily dependent on their cost, and they are seldom good for more than a couple seasons regardless of price. A little while back I finally bought a pair of authentic Clubmaster eyeglass frames (yes my eyes are getting old, imagine that) and have been very pleased with the classic Clubmaster styling (small alterations of the cut on some knock-offs can make a large difference in appearance), as well as the exceptional quality of the frames (compared to the knock-offs, at least, some of which only lasted a couple weeks at best before lenses or arms were falling off; always disappointing). I found myself in need of a pair of sunglasses and decided it was time to splurge for some authentic Wayfarers. I was reluctant ordering online regarding exactly which style and size of wayfarer would best suit my face. I came down on the original Wayfarer style, as I tend to favor the original classic look, and I got lucky, as these (50-22) were the perfect fit for me. My ultimate appreciation though was regarding the quality of the frames. They are heavy and solid and obviously built to endure. I'd also bought a second hundred dollar pair of glasses in a similar style from another popular maker at the same time to decide which style I liked better and best suited me -- and though I really like the style (as much as, though not more than the Wayfarers) they are much lighter. Some people may like the lighter frames, but they just do not feel as substantial to me -- being more reminiscent of the feel of the knock-offs I'd always considered temporary throw-away glasses. Ultimately, I will say that I am pleased enough with this purchase that I've actually taken the time to put it into writing. As always the Amazon shopping experience, the item being very well packaged, the knowledge of free returns if necessary, and the prompt two-day Prime shipping were also much appreciated.

12 Day Prime Delivery...but good product!
By David Lasater on Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2021
Read beyond the first line. The product itself (Rayban Wayfarers) were fine and exactly what we ordered for our son's college graduation. We ordered it Prime a week ahead of his graduation date and after 8 days of waiting for FedEx shipping updates which since my Prime order showed a 4 day delivery window and this happened to be after his graduation, I received a notice to go back into my Amazon account and approve this item. So I did the approval (after my initial order went through and I was getting shipping updates) and received another confirmation of my order. This time I get another FedEx shipping update and after 2 days, the update did not change...then today, 12 days after my original order the Prime order shows up delivered by UPS!?!??? I am not sure if this poor service is the result of the seller, Amazon, or FedEx...but the communication with the customer was not acceptable. To start, if it is a Prime item, I have got use to and promised by my Amazon Prime membership, that items will be delivered in 2 days or less and i have found this to be very true. Of maybe it falls on the seller and they are unable to meet Amazon's Prime seller requirements and should not have the distinction of using Prime on their products. Lastly, it may very well be FedEx and their inability to accurately provide customers with delivery updates. Ultimately, the customer sees this as being an Amazon issue, since they own the online shopping presence, process the payment, and provide other customer order information. Again the product is great and our son loved the Wayfarers, but receiving a Prime order 12 days after order placement is not acceptable and should be researched to determine the root cause to prevent this less than desirable customer experience.
