Great for an apartment!!!

I love this thing. When considering an elliptical, money was not a consideration but size was. I live in a NYC apartment and I wanted something I could keep set up that wasn't extremely bulky. This is perfect, I use it almost everyday and have lost a lot of weight! Pros: More Compact and lighter than other models - some will say thats because its cheaply made but it still works great for me after 6 months of heavy use. Comes with a seat so it can be used as a bike as well. I do use the bike sometimes but cycling is harder on the knees so I don't use for long periods of time. Some comments say that the stride is too short for them, I am 5'11'' with very long legs and I have to keep my feet back a bit from where the plastic foot holds are outlined, but it is not uncomfortable and does not effect my workout. Has plenty of intensity settings and the preset workouts are okay. I don't use them but they are your standard fair. I prefer to alternate 40 sec of elliptical and then 20 sec of cycling. That really keeps your muscles working the whole time. Relatively easy to set up. I'm good at self assembly and it probably took about an hour, but no pieces were missing and I've never had a problem with anything coming loose. Cons: If you want a top of the line elliptical, there are others that are better but this one is a great quality for the price and does not take up a ton of space. When you are seated it is hard to see the monitor screen, I remedy this by using the stopwatch function on my phone to time myself instead. This is not a big deal for me but others may not agree The heart rate monitors are not very accurate, they jump around a lot but I find that problem with a lot of equipment and it is not a problem for me.

Compact but flawed
By LostInBooks on Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2012
I bought the Body Champ BRM3671 Cardio Dual Trainer after having gone to various stores in my area and checking out the Ellipticals there. I was actually looking for something that wouldn't take up too much space and could be wheeled from one room to another so I could store it in one room and pull it to the TV room to exercise and watch TV. I came across this trainer which looked compact enough and had a dual purpose of elliptical and bike though it didn't have wheels. The accompanying video looked promising too. Assembling the product was easy enough - very good instructions and all the parts and tools needed were numbered and marked. The Ist day I used it, I tried the 'manual' setting (it comes with manual as well as 10+ preset workouts to choose from) and the lowest level of resistance. It was easy enough as a starting point. The stride length was shorter than other ellipticals probably because of the compact nature of the machine. Not a big deal for me since I'm not tall but my sons are 6ft so for them it wasn't the best. Moreover the machine shakes quite a bit while being used. But we felt we could live with it. But the 2nd day I tried the machine it wouldn't work. I tried the same easy setting and this time I could barely move the pedals. At first I thought maybe my legs were tired but my sons and my friend couldn't move it either. We tried it a third day and same thing. Something went wrong in the mechanics of the trainer. I must state that all in my family are within the weight allowed on this product. I called Amazon and they responded very quickly, kudos to them. They said I could return the product for a full refund. Moreover they sent UPS to my door to pick up the item since it weighs close to a 100 pounds and there was no way I was going to be able to drop it off at a UPS depot. Since then I've Googled for reviews and quite a few of them have liked it but a few have stated that it's flimsy. Pros - Compact, space saving exercise equipment. 2 workouts in 1. Wide resistance range with quite a few preset workouts. Cons - Stride length is short. Shakes quite a bit. Broke down after just one try.
