A timeless game brought back to life
By JRG on Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2025
After playing bocce ball at an indoor entertainment center, we picked this set up for the grand kids when they visited on Spring break. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality and weight of the bocce balls. Not having an official bocce ball court, we played the game in the grass and it worked out well.

Poor quality - several balls chipped after two tosses!
By Nicole D. on Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2016
I bought this set as a Christmas gift last year, and we finally got around to using it over Labor Day weekend. After our first round of tosses, we were extremely disappointed to see that some of the balls had already chipped! I remember reading this in some of the reviews before I made my purchase, but figured maybe those people were just super hard on their sets or threw the balls too hard. Well, lesson learned. After tossing each ball TWICE, at least three of them had chips. And, the balls weren't dropping on top of one another... these were just gentle hits during the course of play. Now I'm regretting not paying a little more for a better quality set. The whole point of bocce ball is that these will hit one another from time to time! This is still a fun game, but we'll be upgrading our set after a little while. We're really disappointed in the quality. Also, the carrying case is nice and compact, but it is only a piece of fabric with a zipper. We had to put the cardboard box back inside to keep the case from sagging into a blob once the heavy balls were stored inside. I bought my parents a set as well (a different one - I'll try to find and add the link later), and we had much better luck with that set. No chips, dings, or anything after a pretty rigorous afternoon of playing.
