Lasting 6yrs +, through many many accidents. lol Works, and is wicked sturdy!

UPDATE April 2024: Can't recommend enough! After I squashed it--it still didn't break-- (see below) I got a new one. That one had lasted 4 yrs. This replacement has lasted 6 years and 3 months now and is still perfectly fine. Not a crack or bend or anything! It has transferred well to a new chair with a different type of arm than I'm used to (thought it is a bit loose. I've recently written to the company asking for advice because I am pretty sure I am not getting it right because I am a doofus and not due to the construction of the product. lol). UPDATE December 2017: After 4 years and 2 day from when I purchased this I FINALLY did it in by trapping myself at full speed in btween the door and the door jamb of a glass door in an office building. It wasn't the jam into the door but the squeeze in the hinges that did it. And it still didn't break off, just broke sidewise giving me time to get home and order a new one. Off to do that now. EXCELLENT product, highly recommended x 20! I've purchased it for another wheelchair user, too. UPDATE Aug 2017: This thing must be made from alien materials--it is STILL holding up after 3.5 years of constant use, on two different chairs with different-width and shape arms. I would have been more than willing to pay for a new one once a year but I STILL haven't had to replace my original! And yes, it is still subjected to--and still stands up to--to much punishment. ORIGINAL REVIEW I can see how this would fit nearly every chair type--clever but simple design. The included instructions are not terribly clear but you can go to to their website for a short video that demonstrates it. I had a question about the pads (how do I know if I need to use them or not) and wrote to the company and--are you sitting down?--heard back from them, on a weekend mind you, within 5 or 6 hours! Great service, great product, and--no need to ask how I know this lol--they do in fact stand up to impacts. Repeated impacts. With both regular walls and concrete walls.

Functional, but beware of chair damage!!!
By Michael F. on Reviewed in the United States on June 8, 2025
I got this for my brand new minivan that I thought could use a more conveniently placed cup holder for the kids. It has stayed in place even though the armrest it was attached to is narrow. However, when removing it to prep for a road trip and clean the car, I found the worst discoloration on the leather armrest. I am not certain, but it appears to have come from the rubber non slip pads that came with the armrest. It could be from the whole unit, but I cannot be sure. Just be advised, to be safe...i would wrap some sort of layer between the cup holder itself and the chair arm that you are attaching it to. Maybe plastic wrap and a towel. Again, functionally it works well, but it did major damage to my new car's leather arm rest. I cannot remove the stain and am buying a replacement armrest...not cheap.
