Love this product
By Laurie A. Brown on Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2022
This product is the best for the price I've found for getting the stench of cat pee out of clothing. Throw it in with the regular detergent, run through a wash cycle, and all is well- no bad smell left, even if run through a hot dryer. Even the cats don't sniff at them suspiciously, so I KNOW the smell is gone. Product arrived having leaked in transit and about a third of the contents was gone. Notified Amazon via the complaint bot, and I was refunded the entire cost right away, so I'm happy.

Works, but it's scented.
By HoneyBee243 on Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2014
I was trying to buy the same one my friend uses that doesn't have a scent. When this arrived, it had a "fresh scent". I don't like my laundry to have a scent, plus that puts chemicals on me and my clothes. It doesn't say anywhere on the product page that there is a scent.

Love this laundry additive. I work out every day in the morning, then have to put my work clothes in a plastic bag that goes inside my gym bag which sits in the trunk of my car all day before I head home! Ewwww, right? Well so far this stuff really takes the "perma-funk" out of my workout clothes. I find the trick is to mix half of what you would use for your regular detergent (for me it is Tide) then half this stuff. It works fine and keeps the bottle lasting longer. The bottles are a bit small at 50oz. but if you order 3 at a time like I did, then you will be set for a long time. Worth the price!
This stuff is magic

It really truly made my laundry smell better, even the persistently stinky stuff, the towel someone used in the ferret cage, the running shirts, the weird smell that secondhand clothes have that never seems to go away.... All better thanks to this!
A Bit Pricey and Works Great!

I've been buying this product from our local Wal-Mart, but I've not been able to find it for several months. This product works great on all the clothing, fabric, etc. that have collected in my in-laws' home for the past 50-70 years or more. Some of the items were from their ancestors, and everything has been in storage for so long that it smells very musty. Febreze Laundry Odor Eliminator works great. Everything smells fresh after it dries. Now, if they could just figure out how to reduce the price.
Got smelly laundry? This stuff will help!

It says it is an odor eliminator, and that's exactly what it does. Febreze products are a common sight in the stock of many retailers, but for whatever reason, it is quite difficult to find this specific member of the product line. Add a bit of this liquid to your choice of other laundry products prior to turning on the washing machine and it will remove almost any kind of odor that may have attached itself to your wash load. Originally, this product had virtually no scent of its own. It now has a very light scent, apparently because consumers want to smell =something= after they do the laundry. My family finds the scent to be barely noticeable, not unpleasant, and certainly an improvement over the odor of, for example, a bunch of dirty socks before they're washed. We love this stuff, we are very happy to have Amazon make it easily available to us again, and we recommend it.

This stuff just plain works. I can't get it at the grocery store anymore so I buy it online and have for years. If you have clothes you think you'll have to throw away because they smell, get this. Gym clothes, towels that smell funny, anything! Febreze gets it out!!

We had mildewy smelling towels for some reason. Even though we were shipped a busted bottle and lost half of the liquid right off the bat. We sent it back and got another one. Had to wash the towels multiple times but it worked. Washed it once normally. Then the second time let it soak for 30 mins to an hour and then washed and it worked. Smells nice, but already knew that being a Febreze product! Little high for the amount you get but it solves the problem. In the past we used Smelly Towels and it worked amazing but the price on that has went up to almost $25 for one bottle. That's just crazy.
Seems to attempt to mask smells rather than remove them

I'm not impressed by this. When the world's supply of Lysol laundry sanitizer ran out around the beginning of the human malware lockdown, we tried switching to this as it was still available. We won't be buying another bottle. Straight from the bottle it's very heavily scented - my wife reckons it smells strongly of cheap men's cologne. It's not the most desirable of scents for general-purpose washing. It also doesn't seem to do much for laundry odours. I can smell it when it comes out of the washer, but it hasn't really done much for the underlying smell itself, and seems to mask and overpower any underlying odour. Additionally, the bottle doesn't seem suited to shipping. Ours leaked, and while it didn't seem to lose a lot of the product, the outside of the bottle was quite slippery with the contents. The cap didn't seem to be loose in any way, either. Absent Lysol's liquid offering, Tide's Odor Rescue pods also seem to be a reasonable alternative. We found some locally at Target; they don't smell of anything much, but they do seem to improve the smell of towels, etc. and we'll likely be subscribing to those while waiting for the Lysol to become available again.
