Wahl Professional - Peanut - Professional Beard Trimmer and Hair Clipper Kit - A (Open Box)

It's hard to give a 3-star review- but here's why. The trimer body itself is built nicely, and overall it does a great job. The issue is the quality of the plastic guards. I purchased this trimmer 9 months ago at the recommendation of my barber- and for the first 8 months I was in LOVE with this thing. It's corded- and I bought it because I wanted something that would last... and you would expect this from Wahl. But in the past 3 weeks the trimmer guards no longer clip to the body of the trimmer. They are loose and won't stay attached so you have to hold them in place. This allows for some play in the guards, and a less even cut. Annoying to say in the least- you would hope to get a few years from something like this before failure, but this product hasn't even made it 9 full months before failing. For perspective I use this trimmer probably once a week to trim my beard. By no means has this been abused- I actually use the included brush and oil to maintain the trimmer. I'm a pretty meticulous owner of anything, so if you tend to be more a more carefree I would expect you to see this outcome possibly sooner. Since I purchased this in January of 2024 I would estimate I use this weekly.... so it has only been used 36 times (40 times if we want to be generous) and the guards failed. Perhaps I can find some replacement guards. It's a shame nothing is made to last anymore.
