Kamik Women's Heidi Rain Boot

I bought these because I was in love with this color red, it reminded me of a candy apple. The color is super nice and they are shiny but not cheap looking, I also did not want a heel and these have a barely there heel which is perfect. The one thing I was not thrilled with was that they are shorter than I expected I thought they would be almost too my knee. When they arrived I realized misunderstood the measurement. I was hoping for more a riding boot look than a rain boot galoshes look, they are about six and a half inches above my ankle and they do have that fitted tapered look like they do in the photo, they are wide at the ankle and narrow at the calve, if you have thicker calves they will be snug. I am medium build 5'6 and wear a size 8, my feet are fine and the fit around my calves is fine, I am wearing leggings but I would not be able to tuck jeans in easily. These remind me a lot of the rubber boots you get in the garden center. They are lined and trimmed with neoprene (?) they are comfortable like rain boots. For fifty bucks I wish they would look a little less underwhelming. If I were looking for general no frills rain boots I would be very happy.
