Solid soldering station

I love this station. Solid build quality, easy to use, it heats up quick. It does a really good job at maintaining temperature too, which I noticed another top brand would fluctuate constantly. I love the sleep feature but the way to set the temperature is a bit cumbersome when I’m working on something that requires me to swap between temp often. I also love how easy it is to swap tips, it’s so much easier than the other guys.

Be prepared to buy a new FX-2027 or something better

Wish I could rate this highly but I can’t, because I can’t get it working. I turn it on, I get an S-E error, which is a sensor problem. Could mean a few things, but I checked that the tip was inserted properly, it was. Tried different tips, didn’t work. Measured the resistance from tip to pin 2, threw up .1 ohms which is under the .2 threshold, so that was fine, but then I took a look under the hood. All the cables are incorrectly assembled. Based on both the manual that came with the device and the online manual, the cables are not matching the corresponding numbers/colors. So now I have to wait and waste more time and lose money because I’ll probably have to buy another cable because I’m not repackaging the million things this kit came with and sending it back waiting for an exchange. Not a good experience.
