Shockingly fantastic!

I was totally blown away by how great this thing is. I run a mountain bike race every week and having a good music system to keep the folks entertained is a must-have. I was originally very skeptical of this because the price just seemed too good to be true, but at the low cost I figured it was worth it to take a risk. The sound is excellent and produces plenty of power for me, it filled our staging area perfectly. The battery is the really shocking part, I've run this thing for 5 hours straight and have yet to run out the battery. So I can't tell you how long it lasts other than longer than 5 hours :) Because our races happen in somewhat rural locations there is no electrical outlet we can run power from and a generator is just too noisy and obnoxious. A battery operated system was the perfect solution and I am very happy to say that this lives up to and delivers well beyond my expectation. The one bad thing about this setup is the microphone. It is pretty cheap and low quality. It quit working after about a month, but really I hadn't bought it for the mic anyway and if I really cared I would just get a wired mic to plug into it. This thing is incredibly multi-useful and it is literally the perfect thing for what I needed.

Pyle Pro 500

This product is decent, which I purchased it for the zumba classes that I teach. It's mobile and you can add additional speakers if need be. Plus I like the option of attaching my Ipod at the top or plugging it into the front. It plays loudly and you can adjust the bass, treble, etc. to improve the sound. However, after maybe the 3rd use I started hearing a buzzing sound, which can be drowned out once you increase the volume. I also don't care for the docking station for the Ipod because once you insert the IPOD (I have an IPOD TOUCH 32g) it can be difficult to access certain playlists. I typically prop the speaker up on a chair or table when I use it so the sound can travel better. That is just my preference but it can be heard clearly when sitting on the floor. If you are having a party or engagement up to 100 ppl then this will work nicely.
