It's only been a week or so

but I think I can already tell that these bulbs are working! I bought them particularly for my adult son's room, because he insists that he is not smoking in there and that the smoke smell is only from his clothing from when he smokes where he his allowed to in the garage (ahem), but for whatever reason it is there, and since I put in two ionic bulbs I can definitely tell a difference, a very nice difference.

Burned-out after one week

The Ionic Bulb Air Purifier I purchased worked at first and seemed to reduce household odors. After about a week of moderate usage, the bulb turned from a bright white to an orange glow before failing all together. I'm probably lucky the malfunction didn't damage my light socket or start an electrical fire. I would never trust this product again. Amazon did refund my purchase price after I returned the defective item.
