More expensive but better quality

I’ve been using water insulated plant protectors since the original Wall of Water came out 50 years ago. They all work, but they will also all eventually leak and possibly collapse unless you plan ahead. Leaks can be fixed, either by finding them and repairing them with aqua seal, or inserting a cut out tube into the old one. Starting out with good quality helps, that is why I buy this brand. But here are some key tips to get the best results: 1. Put a five gallon bucket over the plant to start. Dedicate one for this purpose by drilling some finger holes in the bottom to make it easier to pull it out, or just use a large tree pot if you have one. 2. The key is the foundation: buy a bunch of 36” bamboo stakes and use 8 or 10 to spread out the bottom of the protector all around the bucket. This will keep the bottom spread out evenly and keep everything in place as you fill the tubes with water. After the tubes are full remove the stakes and remove the bucket. The final step is to carefully insert three stakes against the inside walls of the protector teepee style and secure with a zip tie, this will prevent a collapse. As the plants grow you can also use the bamboo stakes or hoops to open the top

I have always bought Kozy koats but this time I was sheltering peppers and thought that the green might be better. To my surprise I went to Che k on my garden to find the every single one had fallen over, while the Kozy Koats are still standing. I filled them properly and they were fine. Now I have to replace plants I lost. Very disappointed in this product. I am an experienced gardener.
