Love these

I've been using these for years, but they stopped selling them locally. Bingo, found them on Amazon! I have several of these. I use them to dust and clean my walls, ceilings and floors. They wash up nicely as well.

Not the quality they used to be

We have had the hardwood floor mop for 10 years with two microfiber mop pads and it gets used weekly. We finally decided it was time for a new refill pad. We used and washed the new one once and the elastic is already coming off two sides. It’s a $6 item, but I would have expected it to last longer than one use. Disappointing…

I was so happy when I found these mop refills on Amazon! I've been trying to find replacements for quite a while now. I went to the OCedar website, hoping to purchase them directly from them but they don't sell them on their website. They directed me to a couple of hardware/houseware stores, neither of which carries them anymore. Why do I love them so much? First of all, they're big enough to handle my entire kitchen floor without having to change mop heads. Secondly, I don't need to use soap with them because of the special microfibers that trap dirt and grime. I just had some work done to my antique O'Keefe and Merritt stove. When the repairman pulled it out from the wall, I realized that there was all sorts of crumbs and greasy grime that had been stuck underneath. I cleaned behind the stove and when the repairman pushed it back against the wall, it left a streak of dirt on the floor. That, together with the repairmen tracking grimy footprints all over the kitchen floor, didn't worry me at all. I just pulled out one of these microfiber mop refills, wet it, wrung it out, put it onto the mop head (which is super easy to do) and, in just minutes, my kitchen floor was clean again! Thirdly, they're great for dusting my wood floors. I just pop one dry onto the mop head and sweep it around the floors. Presto, job done! And, best of all, I can just throw them into the washing machine when I'm done. No waste. I don't have to feel guilty any more, like I did when I used one of those mops with the disposable wipe attachments. I only ordered three because, after searching for over a year, I wanted to make sure they were the right ones. Now that I know, I'm going to order a few more.

Turn it inside out!

I use a similar style of mop, the "Sh-mop," when working for a professional house cleaning company. I bought the O-Cedar for side jobs and cleaning my own home. The mop itself turned out to be total garbage; the foam very quickly detached from the mop. Fortunately, the O-Cedar mop head covers also fit on my Sh-mop. I'm used to using terry cloth mop head covers, and find that the microfiber cover, by comparison, is harder to wring out when wet and doesn't make good contact with floors. When using a terry cloth cover, despite the better contact with surfaces, I always end up on my knees scrubbing stubborn areas with a Dobie scouring pad. I've found that if I wring out the wet O-Cedar mop cover and put it on the mop inside out, the nubby side of the cover makes better contact with the floors, and is rough enough that it nearly eliminates the need to hand scrub. I then flip the mop cover over without re-wetting it and make a very quick second pass, easily picking up the dirt and debris loosened up the first time around. I was surprised to realize after revisiting the product information and reading reviews that the mop cover wasn't designed with the purpose of being reversible. I've recommended the O-Cedar mop head covers to all of my coworkers as a time saver, and hope this trick is helpful.

I have lots of pets so I use my mop daily to go over the floors, but only had one liner and was having to wash it almost daily! Ordered this one so I could have a clean one to slip on while the other needed a wash. They definitely work great and I just throw them in the wash when they get too dirty. I would recommend grabbing the two pack I regret only ordering one extra!

Mop refill

I like these mop refills better than the ones that came with my mop - these refills are thicker. I use them dampened on my wood floor, and they glide easily over the floor and stay attached to the mop with the all-around elastic. They can also be used dry for dusting the floor. I usually wash them by hand and lay to dry unless I have a load of similar laundry (depends on how dirty the mop is).

Does not absorb cleaner

This pad did not clean my hardwood! Would not absorb cleaner and left streaks all over my floor. I had to redo my floors with old cotton pad. This micro is more like a dusting pad. Returning!
