Prismacolor Scholar Colored Pencils, 48-Count

I have always wanted Prismacolors, so I got this set to ease my way into spending heaps on colored pencils. I colored one page with my old Crayola pencils, then did a page entirely in these pencils. I showed my fiancée and he immediately said "I see no difference". Honestly, I didn't, either. Maybe I don't have that "art eye", I don't know. They are nice for blending, I do give them that. So easy to blend. But as for vibrancy, I would say they are about as good as Crayola. They also don't last as long, because they are softer, but I'm not faulting them for that- just a warning for those heading into this territory. I like them okay, and I will use them still. If you are a real artist- not just a lady wanting to color in coloring books- they might have a lot more benefit.
