Sturdy, smooth 12" Wood Serving Trays

These 12 inch wood serving trays are just what I was looking for. I have two, which I use almost daily. But I needed four to have when company comes over for dinner. Often we eat our meals on the patio deck & these trays are the perfect size for a standard dinner plate. They have the turned-up edges which keeps your plate f/sliding around. The trays are lightweight, even holding your dinner plate, which allows you to walk around easily. The wood is very sturdy, smooth yet lightweight. They are very easy to clean and do not stain. The price is more than fair & the shipping was only 5 days. Overall, this style of wood serving trays have a very clean, simple look & design. JWWJ30

This is a great tray and the perfect addition to the ones we already have. It is beautifully crafted and finished and well worth the near $30.00 I paid for it. I know this because it took more than 12 hours labor to sand, oil and finish two very similar trays to get the same soft, natural finish that this tray comes with. Why 3 stars then? PACKAGING - or specifically the lack thereof!. The seller put this solid wooden tray with relatively thin edges in a plain plastic bag - not a bubble envelope, and no bubble packing and no box. Seriously????!!!!! Amazon sends beef jerky in a box! It arrived with two dings in one of the edges that will need to be sanded, and I will keep it because I don't want the hassle of going through the return process and it perfectly meets the need I got it for. Conclusion: If Pacific Merchants will update their packaging policy to actually protect their merchandise in shipping, then I would STRONGLY recommend this product to anyone looking for a square wooden tray!
