The Sonic franchise at its best!!!!!

First off, let me start out my review by saying that most sonic fans say that this game is one of the worst sonic games and one of the worst games ever. They say this because of the load times being too lengthy but this is not enough to ruin the game for me. They also say this because of some of the glitches that exist in the game and also it is definitely a high level of difficulty compared to a game like Sonic Colors. But once you learn how to play it, it is really easy and fun. Many people say they like the music in the game--I do not enjoy the music. Here is what I like about the game: The story is great, there is a lot going on, true there are some holes in the plot but it is nothing that isn't present in other Sonic games. The graphics are good especially in the computer generated cut scenes--I don't think I've ever seen better in any sonic game. It has nine different playable characters which gives you a lot of variety. This game is very long and it takes place in the real world (another complaint by Sonic fans). This allows for beautiful environments but completely unlike Sonic Colors where you run through Mt. Junkfood-- it also has humans in it not just cartoon figures. The game is safe for kids but without being so hokey as Sonic Heroes and other older Sonic titles. I have actually watched a youtube video where a guy was screaming because he could see Dr. Eggmans eyes----get a grip man!!!! Also Eggman's Mechs look intimidating as opposed to the old Genesis titles which look like a wheel with little stubs. You have lots of levels and lots of bosses to defeat. There is also lots of side missions I enjoy this especially one in Shadows storymode. In closing, I love the game play, I love that you get to play as a lot of characters, I love the length of the game, I love the graphics, I love the story except that Sonic and Elise were love interests (I'm pretty sure there are laws against that). Even though a lot of people think this is the worst game ever, I think its the best game ever and to those people on youtube that guzzled whiskey and took pills that were upset over this game as they reviewed it--Stop trying to recapture your lost youth and remember----You know what they say about opinions!!!!!

This game is truly awful. It was rushed for a holiday release on the Xbox 360 and to celebrate Sonic's Anniversary, but it is completely unfinished in almost every way. The controls are horrible and are by far the biggest contributor to the game's infuriating and unfun difficulty. The graphics are terrible and while some of the character models look acceptable, the textures and animations are embarrassingly bad. The voice acting is obnoxious and awful, and the levels are unimaginative, ugly, and confusing, and often lack a clear objective or goal, not to mention the main attraction of Sonic games: a sense of speed. By far one of the worst aspects of this game is constant, long loading times between almost every playable area in the game. Heres a particularly egregious example: You are exploring the hub area of the game hat you play between levels, and see an NPC who gives you a mission. You accept, theres a 20 second loading screen. Then theres a tiny, blink and you miss it dialog where they explain what you need to do during the mission, and then another 20 second+ loading screen before you actually start playing. Once you complete the mission, then theres yet another 20-30 second load before you return to the hub. These load screens permeate every aspect of the game and clearly no effort was put towards making them tolerable, at all. The game's one saving grace is a passable soundtrack that is, at times, almost catchy. I bought this game specifically because of it's terrible infamous reputation, and I streamed it on Twitch for my friends to watch me be miserable. That is the only reason you should ever play this game. I see a lot of 5 star reviews from lazy parents for this product on here. Please, love your children more than this. They deserve better quality games than this.
