Kershaw Blur Tanto Serrated Blade Knife

I have carried a pocket (folding) knife the entirety of my adult life. Being that I am now 48, I have carried quite a few brands. My previous brand of choice was SOG. They have a wonderful balance of quality and cost. My last one left a bit to be desired, so I set out to find mt new brand. I had heard quite a few good things about Kershaw knives, so I figured I'd bite the bullet and give them a shot. I must say that I have been very impressed with the design, form and how well the blade held an edge. While I was at work this past week I went out on the factory floor to check on a package received for my department. After slitting the tape on the first package I set my Kershaw on the receiving table. After doing so, a receiving staff member slid some packages down which also happened to slide my knife off the table. No big deal, right? That's what I would have thought... until I picked up my knife and saw the tip of the blade missing. I was completely stunned. I'm guessing it had landed tip-down, but I would not have thought a three-foot fall would break the blade, concrete floor or otherwise. Very disappointing. It would seem that I must continue my search for a proper daily carry.
