The real deal

This had the same description and name as a newer version, and I took a chance that I was going to be getting the same seal I was hoping to get. In fact, it was the same seal! I'm very, very happy with this. The price was fantastic, and this seal is the best on the market. The glue sticks well and the gasket rubber keeps water out. I am using this on a Ford Maverick truck bed with a Gator fx3 hard cover and this is definitely helping to keep water out. I am still going to need to add some silicone or flex seal, because apparently no cover keeps all the water out, especially in a Ford maverick. However, that being said, at this price this is an amazing deal and extremely high quality gasket. Easy to install too. Highly recommended.

OK

Just as advertised, this is a roll of foam you trim to fit. As a one-size-fits-all item it works ok, but it did leave gaps near the top of the tailgate. Not all tailgates have the same size gaps ans I am learning now, but it looks to keep most of the road-crap out until something gets dragged across it and rips the foam as this foam is not as tough as that you see in a new car's trunk seak.

Take your time when installing this and you will get good adhesion to the painted surfaces and it can be nearly water tight. I used the scrap pieces at the top of the tailgate to try to stop water from being able to run in off of the tonneau cover. It has worked very well. Make an L shape seal from the edge of the tonneau turning downwards with the body along the tail gate. It only needs to go down a few inches to do the trick.
Seals a Tundra tailgate really well but makes it hard to close

I have my Tundra all decked out with Access gear. I have the Access tonneau cover and Access M-series ADARAC above that. I would get a fair amount of dust in by the tailgate when driving on dirt roads so naturally I bought this Access tailgate gasket. With the help of my 9 year old, we planned out the locations to install this till we could no longer see any light around the tailgate when it was closed. I peeled off the adhesive backing in a couple spots and mocked up the locations and the tailgate shut easily. After pulling the rest of the backing off and sticking it into place, I now really have to slam the tailgate to get it to latch. Of course this happens after installing the long piece along the bottom of the tailgate. It sticks so well that when I attempted to peel it back up to move it down on the bed a little, it started to tear. Kinda sucks that the only option is to buy another roll of this to try again. It does work great for keeping out dust and water.

First off this is the only rubber seal I have tried on my 98 Tacoma so I don't know anything about the competition. But I was so satisfied on how it keep the dust out of my truck bed I went ahead and got me another set after I did some renovation on the truck and I had to take the first set out. The glue is so strong that when I peeled it off the paint came off. Enough length. Good shape design to make it easy on you to to best utilize the strip. It is still there doing its job. So yes, 5 stars

Product does not work for truck beds that have been lined. A linning such as a Rhino Linning is too rough for the adhesive to work properly. It will come loose over a short time. As a result of this products failure I had a linning installed that required screws.

Started coming apart after a few months. Seal does hold well. Would not recommend.

With a factory sprayed in box liner the seal has to be stuck to the rough liner material. Not sure if this is going to last or not
