This Edsal shelving unit has a frame made of steel for strength, and your choice of four adjustable shelves with a 3,200 lb. capacity (when the weight is evenly distributed across all shelves), or five shelves with a 4,000 lb. capacity. The shelves are made of particle board supported by double-riveted beams and braces for strength, and adjust in 1-1/2 inch increments to accommodate items of varying heights.

The posts on the 4-shelf unit have a two-piece design so it can be assembled vertically to create one 60"H x 36"W x 18"D unit, or assembled horizontally to create two 30"H x 36"W x 18"D units with two shelves each.  The 5-shelf unit can be assembled vertically to create one 72"H x 48"W x 18"D unit, or two smaller units.
