The SOG Specialty Knives & Tools BLT10K-CP Bladelight is a functional and innovative knife featuring technology that employs 6 LEDs molded into the handle on either side of the knife blade. These LEDs bulbs will provide up to 25-lumens for shadowless light when cutting or for flashlight capability while being stored in the included black hard molded nylon sheath. Made of 9Cr18MoV stainless steel with an attractive satin finish, the 5.7-inch straight fixed blade has a clip point shape that allows a quicker and deeper puncture upon insertion, sharpens easily and makes quick work of any task.

The BLT10K-CP Bladelight is powered by standard alkaline batteries for a 175-minute burn time, designed with state of the art push button switches/circuitry and has an IPX-7 rating for water immersion of 30-minutes with a depth of up to 1-meter. The ergonomically contoured and well balanced handle has a black finish and is made of a high strength, abrasion and impact resistant glass-reinforced nylon with a no-slip grip that will fit comfortably in your hand. This item also includes a nylon battery pouch and (2) AA batteries. The BLT10K-CP has an overall length of 11.3-inches, blade thickness of 0.18-inches and weighs 7.10-ounces.

Caring for Your Fixed Blade Knife

Keeping your knife clean, dry, oiled and sharp are the primary defenses against corrosion, wear, and potential injury. Be sure to clean the blade and handle after each use--however, do not soak your knife in water. A mild solution of soap and water should remove any dirt and debris that may have accumulated during use (avoid harsh detergents such as laundry or dish soap, and chlorine products).

After cleaning or after exposure to moisture be sure to completely dry your knife blade and handle, taking special care with any sensitive handle materials. Use a soft cotton cloth or chamois and a small amount of moisture-displacing oil (such as WD-40 or 3-in-1), on the blade only, to prevent water spots and oxidation from forming. Fingerprints and weather are the primary causes of rusting or corrosion on a knife blade. To keep your knife looking its best, SOG recommends that you give your blade a light coat of oil after each cleaning, and prior to long term storage.
