To ensure a proper fit in your refrigerator, insert the replacement Tier 1 fridge filter into the housing per the refrigerator manufacturer's instructions. Make sure it is tightened and/or locked as far as it can go.
Once you have installed your new Tier 1 fridge filter, flush the filter with 3 to 4 gallons of water (equivalent of letting the water run through for roughly 5 minutes).
