Start with the wall, not the shelf. These floating shelves hide their bracket inside the board, Over the toilet. Above the fireplace, where they work as a mantel shelf. Beside a desk, in an entryway, between two windows, or down a hallway - anywhere a blank wall is doing nothing for the room. Two 23.6 x 9.3 x 1.5 inch boards give you roughly nine inches of usable depth: books, jars, candles, small plants, a soundbar, framed photos, or a shelf of collectibles. Installation is level-and-screw. The bracket sits inside a routed channel, mounting hardware and step-by-step instructions are in the box, and a drill is all you need. One honest note before you buy: how much these hold depends on your wall. Mounted into studs they carry noticeably more than in drywall anchors, and drywall-only mounting is best kept to lighter decor. For a row of hardcovers, mount into studs or use your own heavy-duty anchors. Wipe the finish with a damp cloth.
