Two common swing flaws: The barrel is IN and OUT of the zone in which the hitter works across his body and across the plate. With the LDPT attached the hitter will see the ball launch to the pull side.To launch the ball up the middle he will have to correct the swing path to obtain the desired trajectory.
The path is long: The hitter drops (loses the barrel) early and either drags the bat across the plate or swings up through the ball. With the LDPT attached the ball will launch up or to the open side. To launch the ball up the middle hitters will have to correct the swing path to obtain the desired trajectory.
Visually seeing the trajectory of the ball enables the hitter to FEEL how their bat is working through the zone and how to visually correct it.
