Don’t hate the Philips 16GB Android Media Player. Sure, you could be mean and talk about how it’s kind of slow, how it doesn’t have a camera or memory expansion, how the battery life is pretty bad, and how the 3.2-inch LCD screen has a terrible viewing angle and low resolution. That would be what you would say if you wanted to be a pessimist.
But an optimist would say, “Okay, so it doesn’t play video very well. Fine. How often do I want to watch video on a tiny 3.2” screen anyway?” and focus on the audio. Because honestly, the audio’s good. Like, really good. You can play just about anything, from MP3 to AAC to WMA, and the earphones it comes with ain’t shabby either. It’s got a few things to sweeten the sound that help out a bit too, and it comes with the Songbird app which is actually kind of neat.
Sure, you can snag Google Mobile Apps too. You can hit up the Android Market and download to your heart’s content. But maybe stick to audio.
