Harden Up, Softy!
Cameras these days! It's like everyone wants to one-up the next guy and make his camera the easiest to use. But what about for people like me, people who like a CHALLENGE? Where's our camera??
I mean, take this Olympus 14MP Digital Camera for example. Just hit a button, take a picture. It's easy. Too easy. Heck, I gotta go OUT OF MY WAY just to make it hard to use at all!
How do I do it? Well, there are a variety of ways:
First of all, every photograph I load onto my computer gets run through a pixel scrambler. That means the up to 14 million pixels that make up one picture get scattered, so in order to share it or show it to anyone, I gotta reassemble it one pixel at a time.
Second, to throw off the intelligent auto setting that identifies the scene I'm shooting, I only take photos in foggy ambiguous-looking locations where nobody's ever been before.
Then, last but not least, there's the simple, one-touch button for recording 720p HD movies. That one was tough, but I'm proud to say that, with the help of some rigorous shock therapy, I have conditioned myself to fear that button with all my heart! Not very "simple" anymore, eh there, Olympus?
So, sure: it's POSSIBLE to make ANY camera difficult to use. I just wish that they'd build in the challenge a little more.

Top Comments are discussion forum posts we have deemed worthy of your time. Listen, we get a lot of comments, and most of the time, it's pretty forgettable stuff; but sometimes you rise to the top like butterfat in milk. We don't recommend you base your self-worth on how often we feature your comments, but we don't expressly forbid it either.
