- Optional preperation: pour contents of the jar into a bowl, sprinkle 1 cup flaked coconut over the filling and fold gently with 8 oz. whipped topping or whipped cream, transfer into a pre-cooked pie crust, top with meringue and bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes or unitl meringue is golden, allow pie to cool, then refridgerate for 3 hours before serving
