The Vacu Vin Pineapple Slicer incorporates 3 separate blades that will peel, core and slice fresh pineapples in just 30 seconds - all via a procedure that is much safer than using a knife. Once the top of the shell has been removed, the device is inserted directly into the pineapple and operates via a corkscrew-based mechanism that enables the creation of perfectly-shaped rings and slices. It was recently revamped to include a unique detachable wedger that allows the user to produce ready-to-eat chunks of pineapple. The gadget also features a quick release button within the handle so that the slices/rings can be easily removed for consumption.
