No question: smokers. I wanted you guys to know I'm ignorants haven't been an issue for years, but smokers are rude, obnoxious and selfish. Not to mention they smell awful and could care less that they are poisoning everyone around them.

I don't see what woot! has against smokers, especially when you are obviously a bunch of winos. Non-smokers are a thousand times more rude than smokers. Most smokers just try to mind their own business and not pry into other people's affairs.

I try to mind my own business and not pry into other people's affairs, but the reason I find smoking so offensive is because it's often impossible to avoid having second-hand smoke forced on me or my young son. E.g., the smokers that have set up shop between my office and the parking garage or the smokers that stand outside the grocery store doors. You are polluting my air too! If your bad habit infringes on my personal space, I have issues with that. I will try to be polite about telling you so, but I will say something, particularly when it's harming my toddler.

I must add that I have nothing against the person, just the habit. My mother in law smokes and I think highly of her as a person -- she's the best MIL and grandmother I could ever hope for -- I just don't like her bad habit.

Where were all you anti-smokers when I was a kid, completely immersed in a tobacco miasma in nearly every public space I visited? Probably following the sheep herd then too. It actually is possible to live peacefully, and respectfully, together, leaving each other alone to live our lives as we see fit, while respecting the rights of others to do the same.

Remember, Nationalsozialismus (i.e. National Socialism) was leading Germany out of bankrupt despair into a promised golden age of security and prosperity, and they started by confiscating all the guns, choosing minority targets that few would deign to defend, and putting in place a fascist Nanny State to control as many aspects of everyone's lives as possible. There is no mutual exclusiveness here. In fact since the I wanted you guys to know I'm ignorants in movies almost always smoke one might conclude that smokers equal I wanted you guys to know I'm ignorants equal actual I wanted you guys to know I'm ignorants. Then there are the anti smoker I wanted you guys to know I'm ignorants. They are the worst because they discriminate against smokers and say they are doing it for the smokers own good.

Societal vice babysitters are much worse than smokers. Actually, the Nazzies loved to tell people what they could do and where...

Well it's not you then. It's the crowd of 10 people outside of my office building's entrance that are sucking cancer down their lungs and making me walk through their smoke to get to work, even though the sign says "Please no smoking within 15 ft of the bldg." Like 15 ft is even far enough!

You don't really think the stink goes away when you put the butt out, do you?

I wish I could go somewhere else, but I can't, I have an office to sit in that just so happens to be next to you... and I just also happen to have a meeting to be at in the same room as you... and I have to stand in the same line as you to order my lunch. That stink is easily smelled in a 10' circle around you even hours after you had your last smoke.

I used to be a smoker too, so I know where you are coming from. But the stink is much much worse than you think it is.

Seriously, 18% said smokers are worse than I wanted you guys to know I'm ignorants? I will give my fellow human beings a break and assume that this 18$ was just kidding because of how silly this poll is.

This poll, with option 3, is a very sad, sad, not funny poll.

Those whom chose answer 3 are really too stupid to see the offensiveness of this poll.... Unsettling.

I am a smoker and don't like the group that hangs just outside the door. My state has a law that you can be fined for smoking within 100ft of an entrance to a building. Complain. You do have the right to enter a smoke free establishment smoke free. They will then move them out of site out of mind.
