Nice unit, used it once and it seemed to work great. Good power and easy to handle.

Lower price on the big AZ, free shipping, and some really bad reviews. Gonna pass on this one, sorry Woot.

[MOD: That does not include the car care kit. Ours does.]

Edit, my bad. I linked you to the one without the car care kit--that's the one that's cheaper, and the one I originally had in my post above. I corrected that above. Sorry, good night.

Junk!leaks/ hose fitting pops off easy!

Bought one 2 years ago...still works great. The fittings feel a little cheap (but this is not a $200 unit anymore right?). You sort of get what you pay for, but with care this does a nice job. The narrowest jet of water takes stain, paint, etc right off wood.

...tryin to reason with hurricane season...

With very little use over 3 years the fittings on mine failed and it's useless. It was a 1300 psi model but I'd imagine the fitting are no different on this one. Worked good until that happened.

Wonder if this is actually eligible for the Rapid Exchange program. From the Karcher site:

*It must be a Kärcher electric pressure washer with a model number beginning with K2, K3 or K5 (example: K2.425, K3.690, K5.540).
*It must have been purchased new from an authorized retailer.
**Note! Kärcher pressure washers purchased through online auctions, swap/flea markets and other second- and third-party markets are not eligible for the program

VERY IMPORTANT: if you live in an area that gets freezing temperatures, you MUST store this thing indoors! Otherwise the fittings WILL fail and you'll have ruined your pressure washer. It's the same concept as not leaving a garden hose attached to an exterior faucet when it freezes. Ask me how I know about both of these things....

So if you read the owner's manual closely (I did not), this unit should last loger. I wonder if some of the other folks complaining about fittigs that failed made the same mistake I did.

I bought one about 6 years ago and it is still going strong. Great for washing my truck.

Does Woot count as an authorized seller?

Our power washer conked out this year. We shopped and researched and found that these low end models like this are available at several places for under $100. We picked up ours at the local Harbor Freight on a sale weekend for $75. They serve the purpose of cleaning your deck, windows, siding, lawn furniture. It's a very disposable item though so keep that in mind when you buy. Don't expect it to last more than 5 yrs.

I wouldn't recommend a Psi washer such as this one; last time I did, it wiped my childhood memories! Dangerous. :-P

Had one. Emphasis on "had". Used it twice and worked great. Third time it exploded and blew water everywhere. Never abused, just lasted until 1 month out of warranty and failed spectacularly. Never again - piece of junk. I now know what a real pressure washer is - I got a Generac for $200 on Amazon with 2700 psi.

Seems cool, but it's cheaper on Amazon right now.

I bought one when I got my house and it worked pretty good for about four years. After that a seam in one of the high pressure plastic fittings leaked, easily replaced. I ended up irked though when three months later a different high presure plastic part started leaking. I got all the parts in a box and replaced it with a different brand.

So, good unit. Don't expect to pass it down to your kids.

This is a residential unit. Its a lot of machine for the money. Should last a few years when used monthly.

Keep in mind at this price point you couldn't even buy just the hose for a commercial grade pressure washer.

I couldn't tell from this one, but a Karcher power washer I used had all plastic fittings. They strip much more easily making connections of the wand to the washer unit. It would hold and kept flying off when the washer was turned on. The one I used the fittings had to be replaced only after a couple of times.

Don't waste your money or time with this unit. I had to send it for repair twice already for leaky wand. It's sitting at repair shop waiting for part for weeks.

Worse thing is that I cannot return it. Too bad. Don't buy.

The unit looks like cheap build quality. Looks aren't everything, I know. But I just got one from Lowes for the same price that appears to be put together a lot better. It is a 1500psi, not 1600 but it does the job.

Hey all, a quick note about proper power washer operation.

Even lower-end units can last, like, forever if you hold the trigger before and after hitting the on/off switch.

I'm a screen printer, usually on big ol' auto-press sized screens for posters and big prints, which means I run a power washer all the time for extended periods. I'd blown through units in a matter of months until a colleague explained the trigger thing to me (he's being printing constantly, and had only two power washers in 12 years).

Basically, since these lower-end units in particular are made for seasonal weekend warriors, it's not as obvious that turning them on before using the trigger forces air through the machine rather violently, and air is also trapped if it is shut off after the trigger is released. By simply holding the trigger before turning on and holding it until it's been turned off, it'll last much longer. It also feels much smoother and gets up to full blast in a hurry.

Just be careful that you're aiming it firmly somewhere safe while you're attention is on the on/off button briefly!
