Worst product ever...

I bought two when they were twice as expensive. There is no way to mount them. There are weird extra mystery metal pieces.

I ordered this last time. The spice racks came fairly quickly. Still waiting on the bottles (it says they ship as two separate packages).

It actually was pretty decent. Better than I expected. Thin plastic, but good enough to organize the mess that is our spice rack of odds and ends from World Market.

Says each rack can hold 20 bottles. So the complete package ships w/ 20 (separately from the racks) but holds 80?

mine came with 10 bottles in another package inside the box. Almost threw them out.

Never could discern what those metal parts are for haha.

How long ago was the order? They should come within a few days of each other. If it's been longer than that, email service@woot.com so they can look into it for you.

What are the size of the spice bottles(oz)? I cant seem to see find that info. Anyone have a closeup of the sifting cap/lids? Need to know how useful these bottles are if I am going to be transferring all my spices to generic containers.

C'mon carp!

I bought these a couple of weeks ago and will pass on this info:

Yes, the racks and bottles ship separately. There were quite a few days between shipments but they got here eventually.

Those are NOT metal mounting hardware pieces. The metal pieces fit down into the shelves to make rack a little more rigid/sturdy.

I'm still trying to figure out where to put/use mine, and still think they'll be worth the minimal expense/novelty.

The bottles in the pictures look kind of thin. Do these racks hold the standard bought-it-at-the-grocery-store sized spice bottles? (Spice Islands, McCormick's, etc.)

I bought these when it was a 2-pack. The bottles came in the big box from woot. I haven't tried to see what the bottles (10 of them) look like since I discovered that the Swivel Store is about 2 inches taller than my shelf.

Have one right here. With lid, it is approximately 3.875" tall. Diameter is approximately 1.75". Lid screws off. There's a pry-off shaker cap. Dry capacity is about 1/3 cup (dry white rice).

Hope this helps! :-)

Are the spice jars plastic or glass?

Yes, the racks accommodate standard size spice bottles (McCormick's) and salt or pepper grinders, Montreal Steak seasoning, etc. Some of the larger bargain sizes from places like Dollar Tree and such may be too large to fit.

Size of actual bottles they ship is about 3.875" tall by 1.75" diameter. Holds about 1/3-cup's worth of, say, dry rice.

Number 1 plastic PET is what they have imprinted on base.

Unless you're really serious about wanting all of your spice bottles to match, I'd just leave what you've got in the McCormick (or whatever) bottles they're in. They will fit.

There are 11 holes in pry-off cap, about 1/8" diameter each. Star pattern.

The metal pieces slide down into the shelves to give the rack a little stability/weight. I guess they also keep powder from falling down into bottles below.

Do these come in individual boxes,as if you bought them in a store?

Thanks, eetzel... That reminded me to measure my own shelves first... they won't fit.

Bought these during one of the recent Woot-off and very unhappy. Only hold the smallest bottles, very cheaply made and I thought they were mountable(due to the metal parts shown in the photos) but they are not. I found, even when filled, they are too light and you are just as likely to pull the whole rack out of the cabinet as you are to slide it out the way it is supposed to work.

Here's a link to a site that has a good review of the Swivel store. http://www.asseenontvonsale.com/home-organizers/swivel-store-organizer/

According to this review, there is no installation. The device sits inside your cabinet and is not stable unless there a bottles on it.

I measured my shelves and they are too short for this product. So, it's a pass for me.

Metal parts go in the bottom of each shelf to add some structure, since it is so thin. I also bought these, not as strong as I would have liked, but, did help with my spice cabinet.

That threw me a bit but here they're properly identified as shelf inserts (for the plastic shelves in the units themselves) that give a little extra rigidity. You can put them in either way, but with the tab facing the back of the shelf that provides a little extra counterweight - because they're really made to sit in your cabinet, not be bolted to it.

Bought these at the highest Woot price when they were still going for $ridiculous in stores (many times this for a single unit) - widening the shelves would make them yet more useful, but with the included bottles they're good for getting everything small out of the way of bigger stuff, better than a lazy susan where the middle always becomes an inaccessible no-man's-land.

Check the depth of your cabinets, they do barely make it into my new apartment's shallow (well, 'non-deep') ones.

Bottles are about the size of the regular spice bottles that things like cinnamon or cloves come in and the sifting tops are also similar. I got mine with the bottles and for my limited cabinet space, really like this product. Some of the larger spice bottles won't fit in the rack but that's okay, the majority do. I haven't found a need to mount mine, it hasn't seemed to need to be mounted and doesn't move much when I pull the shelves out and turn them. I paid $20 for one at Walmart a year or so ago. It wasn't really that much different, but didn't include the mystery metal which I'm assuming is just a sort of shelf liner or something. Overall, they were worth the money and have been very useful to me in the kitchen and my SigO in the garage.

Try some blu-tack or nonslip liner stuff - and remember to shove everything to what becomes the 'back' of the shelves for the most counterweight when sliding out the opposing side.

They do work a lot better in lower shelves (if your cabinets don't have a 'lip' to block them as mine do), or you can just remember to put a hand on the opposite side when pulling out the one you're after.

You can probably also carefully fiddle with the screws underneath if you want a looser glide less likely to tug the whole thing off the shelf.

And while I'm on a posting spree, that's a little too small for spices like rubbed sage, tarragon or oregano, so plan on putting your most powdered spices in these or skipping the shaker tops. (Since you only get enough to fill half the shelves, keep the McCormick bottles with the larger holes for the less fine-ground spices.)

When I ordered they were one pair (that's 2 units each with 2 pull-out shelves) per brown cardboard box, with the bottles divided 10 per other-small-brown-cardboard-box labeled "Swivel Store Spice/Pill Bottles P/10 Made in China."

If your giftees demand nicer packaging you'll need to bring your own glitter and spray-paint.

I agree, I got these last time around, and was seriously disappointed. The instructions don't explain the mystery pieces or how to mount, although I suspect the two are related. But I couldn't figure it out, so they just went in the garage in storage, I may be able to find a use for them for nuts and bolts and stuff,

Man these are getting cheap! $9+$5 s/h = $14 total taken in by Woot. And they have to ship each person two separate packages? Let alone if I have a $5 off JumboWoot coupon. Where's the profit?? :-)

FYI to all, I just used strips of velcro to secure my racks to my cabinet. You could use double-sided tape as well. Mine has been holding strong for a couple years now.

I'll second (or third) that. THey are way too small for any shelf in my apartment, and are sitting on a counter, still empty. Total waste of money.

Same-be sure to measure the height of your cupboard shelf before ordering. Ended up giving mine away. (spice bottles came in a separate box, but arrived at the same time)

My wife bought two of these for $20 each.

They are made of plastic.
There is no way to mount them.

That said, they function surprisingly well. Once they're fully loaded with spices, the weight keeps the whole setup well anchored, and the movement is smooth. All in all, we're very satisfied with them.

I got these a couple months ago from woot (for $3 more... grrr) and I am happy enough with them. I bought them expecting something that was made out of cheap plastic that I knew wouldn't be super sturdy or look all that impressive. I got what I expected and they have definitely helped clean up my spices. Not everything I have fits, but everything in standard sized bottles fits just fine. If I had any major complaint it would be that you can't really set a pair of these side by side and still be able to swivel the inner two shelves out at all. The shelves pull out just fine, you just can't turn them without separating the two swivel stores a bit.

The spice bottles are fairly cheap, but about the same quality I'd say as the empty bottles they sell by the bulk spices in my grocery store's produce department.

I bought these last time, fit about 1/2 my spices, standard McCormick's fit but that is the largest that will. A little flimsy but it did straighten things up a bit

These are the best thing that ever happened to my spice cabinet. I never used the metal brackets because I couldn't figure out what they were for, but I love the new organization of my spices. I bought some spice labels for cheap on Amazon to put on the bottles. Works great. Amazon also sells similar cheap plastic bottles if you need extras. I highly recommend this deal.

The bottles are pretty cheap plastic but none of mine have broken yet. Yes, the racks hold the standard sized bottles of spices from any grocery store. I use my rack more for those than the bottles that come with them and it holds about 5 per shelf.
