Random Crap Under $40

We can think of a dozen ways to earn $40: Whitewash a fence, con an elderly person, work a full day at minimum wage, itemize, play the slots, win a pie-eating contest, rob a person who just did any of these things, strip, consult, sue, fish, weave. Now here's a dozen ways to spend it:

Random stuff for your random stuffness!

(The Houdini is pretty awesome, I might add from personal use.)

I'm just hanging out, really.

These are nice enough that you can serve side dishes in them at dinner, and then just pop the lid on them afterwards to keep the leftovers in the fridge. No need to transfer the rest to another container.

Plus these are $0.99 less than the last time I saw them offered on here. Great deal IMHO.

the lock and locks were $6.99 during the wootoff. I bought a set and was second guessing myself that I should have bought two, almost immediately.

Bought the Lasko fan combo on a previous Woot. Quite satisfied, although I wish the tall fan had a wider rotation (I think it's under 50 degrees).

Two questions:
Are they worth 9 bucks?

How much is 3 cups?

I bought the rose bundt pan in a prior Woot. I love it - it is certainly heavy duty and made in the USA. I used it to make a cake, and after following the instructions the cake popped out perfectly. It looked beautiful! Very pleased with this Woot.

As someone who picked up the Laskos, I don't mind the low rotation - I hadn't even noticed it really.

They are great fans.

Do you have any sense of how big the lock and load ceramics are?

3 cups is 24 oz. So like 2 soda pop cans. Or, 1 1/2 cans of chili.

Random Crap isn't any fun when you know what you are getting. I would argue that is the whole point of it all.

Sigh, I'm totally, bummed.

Hey, WOOT, if you want to remove this taste of bitter disappointment from my mouth offer a 51 inch LCD television for under $40.

Tons of complaints that the lids don't fit properly, the tabs break easily, and people have given up on using the lids. I was in for three just to have one large set of containers for storage that were all the same, but after reading the reviews, I'll pass...Especially knowing they were just $6.99.

Didnt see the $6.99 price last time but dont know what kind of person is having trouble putting lids on these containers?!?

Both my parents are in a nursing home. Last Thanksgiving I put dinner in a number of these containers. I ride bicycle, packed these up in my backpack and rode in pretty freezing weather a couple miles to the home.

The food was so freaking hot we had to wait for it to cool before eating and there was zero spillage.

These are great in the microwave, great to serve from or eat directly from and clean up is super easy... never a stain!

You do have to line up the rubber seal on the lid to the bowl perfectly or the tabs will not press down but once aligned no problem with the tabs. After more than a year of daily use I have never had a problem with these containers.

Highly recommended!

Good ideas, but no one is going to pay me $40 to strip, that's for sure!

The last time I saw Random Crap it was truly Random Crap! This is just assorted stuff!

THank you. I missed them again, but it sounds like they'd do what I want. (Work as containers to freeze with prepared food for cooking)

Service knows! You made fixes happen!

The price should be adjusted and you should see a correction in your order if you ordered at the higher price. If you have any issues with your order, please email service@woot.com.

Thanks for keeping an eye on things for us!

I bought a set of these from QVC about 2 yrs ago and love them! No problems with the tabs. I knew from the beginning they weren't going to seal like most Lock 'n Locks do, so I just don't turn them upside down. I particularly like the weight of the ceramic. $6 for a set is amazing!

I was hoping to see the little clear bowls/containers that are in the picture. I'd *really* like to see those come up - please?!?

I'll second that - love the Houdini. I don't open wine too often (couple times a month), so since it is new I keep thinking I'm doing it wrong since it is so easy. But I'm not and POP out comes the cork super easy And the foil cutter is wonderful. I'm not sold on the aerator making a difference on the wines I drink, but I'm trying it out and the model is really easy to use and clean. I highly recommend - if I didn't still have 2 stashed away for gifts I'd probably buy more.

forever fighting the urge to buy something just because it is cheap and cool...wait, it's cheap and cool, let me click that big yellow button!

A good number of the people who bought them and reviewed them on QVC:

It's funny, because I made the decision NOT to purchase (at $9 - kind of sneaky that they changed the price in the middle of the day) based on the numerous poor reviews on the QVC page...

I just got an email saying my price was adjusted to $7. Thanks woot!

I love the Lasko fan. I bought it about a month ago. The only problem I have with it is that I cant get it to oscillate. Does anyone have any ideas?

I see that the refund was issued yesterday. Maybe check your junk mail folder for the email?

It can also take a few days for the refund to post to your account. Give it until Thursday or Friday and let us know if you still don't see it.

The price changed either triggered the sell out or came right after. I kept refreshing and considering it, never saw the price live until they were gone. Kind of frustrating. It's things like this that make me stop shopping here for months on end.

We're sorry it's frustrating sometimes, but we do try to act on these things as soon as we can, including making right with folks who purchased at the higher price!

Fortunately Lock & Locks are a popular item with everyone, because every time they are up, they seem to go pretty quickly. I can't make promises this particular set will be up again, but our buyers totally know you all are huge fans and I have confidence in seeing more L&Ls in the future!

Bought the Lasko Fan 2 pack. Really nice little combo... until the next day when, after turning off the tower fan, it continued to oscillate. Turned it back on and tried to stop it oscillating but it won't. So now the remote control that came with it is no good for turning the fan off since I have to unplug it to stop it oscillating.

Sorry for the problems with the fan. Have you contacted Lasko? It has a one-year warranty with them.
