Well, how do you fare compared to the Zeitgeist? Chat up your fellow wooters and let us know how lame this poll was or what obvious choices we missed. For example: Was this poll a) STUPID, b) DUMB, c) POINTLESS or d) ALL OF THE ABOVE?

I make my own pulled/shredded pork bbq at home slow-cooking a shoulder in the cast-iron dutch oven for 6 hours. Restaurant pulled pork and chopped beef always have chunks of fat in them that gross me out. I'll buy the brisket and shred the leftovers myself the next day.

BBQ requires that I sample EVERYTHING offered. Even if just a little bit. So, must have both.

I much prefer babybacks to spare ribs. I know that kind makes me outside the norm for rib purists but I that they are less fatty and they don't have that big nasty cartilage string down the middle.

I want my babyback babyback babyback ribs...

You left out ribs? Are you kidding?

I had ribs and pulled pork just yesterday. Yummy.

BLASPHEMER!

You may make pulled pork, but it's not barbecue unless smoldering wood is involved.

Can I vote for 1, 3, *and* 4?

I've never understood, other than religious reasons, why someone would rather barbecue brisket than pork shoulder. Save that brisket for corned beef or pastrami (both of which I love), then smoke up some Boston Butts for the BBQ!

Being a Texan, obviously my choice is brisket but I enjoy all styles of BBQ. I would never say one is better than the other, it's simply a matter of taste.
