It has a solid feel. It doesn't feel cheap at all.

Can anyone tell me if there is a major delay with this camera when taking pics! I am looking for a new camera and do not know a lot. BUT I have a toddler and can never get my shot with the long delays that most point and shoots have now days... Any reply would be appreciated!

I would have to agree with a number of others who have already stated that the Z990 is a much better camera even if it is only 12 MP. But everyone doesn't need all the features of the Z990. I bought my Z990 on Woot! a while back, and now wish I had purchased 2 of them.

The Z5120 is a good camera at a very good price. For many this camera will be a great buy and will give you great photos. It is a bridge camera, that is it is better then a P&S(Point and Shoot) but not as good as a DSLR(Digital Single Lens Reflex). A bridge camera has better optics then the P&S but still has fixed optics unlike the DSLR where you can buy interchangeable lens.

BTW, it is not always about the Pixels. There are many other things to consider when buying a camera.

The Z5120 at this price is a much better buy then any P&S.

tolerance: a fair, objective, and permissive attitude toward opinions and practices that differ from one's own.
BOC: 4 Including the very last Woot!-off B)C. One of the lucky few.

I bought this in purple the last time Woot! had it available and I adore it. The smart picture function does every picture, aside from night landscapes which have a mode specifically for them, perfectly 98% of the time. Great quality on the photos. It needs a larger SD card simply because of the size of pictures it can take. Decent video too, even in low light conditions. I've had the same batteries in for 2 weeks - rechargeable AAs and they're still going. :-)

It's no longer available on the Kodak website, so they no longer make it. It seems cameras become obsolete faster than computers do these days. I don't know if anyone else has had a problem or not, but I LOVE the Kodak cameras, but I have fried 2 computers downloading their Easyshare Gallery software. Actually not in the download itself, but in the updating of the software from the Kodak website. Kodak refused to do anything because my camera was too old. The first time I thought it was just a flook, but the second time I knew it had to have something to do with their download and confirmed after doing some internet searching. Just a warning to everyone. I've gone to putting all my pics on memory cards, which I used anyway, and using Picasa or something like that instead of Kodak Gallery now.

Since they killed the EasyShare gallery and transferred to Shutterfly, I don't bother using their software to download the pictures to my computer. I always found their software was much more twitchy and made my iPhoto function funny when it was running.

The thing that amazed me was the stabilization when using the zoom...

I took these two pics from the same place :

http://flyingflash.com/100_0455.JPG

Both are unprocessed images (except for the annotation, no cropping).

I was standing, holding the camera in my hands, no tripod.

The girl waving in the second pic is just visible in the first pic (in the red circle), sitting with her back to us on the rock across the lake!

That is a great zoom shot! I'm almost tempted to get one.

I totally forgotten they turned everything over to Shutterfly. Maybe I ought to see if my pics are still out there. Thanks for reminding me!

I just got my overnight package and it had only the camera case in it? Did anyone else get just a camera case? Or, is it shipped in multiple boxes? (even the packing slip said case only)

Thanks - not too worried yet, but want to know!

Received mine overnight too and it did not have the camera case. Only received one tracking number and one box from Fed ex. Emailed customer service but no reply yet.

I'm glad I checked this thread first... I, too, received only a camera case. If these were being sent in two packages, it might have been nice if we'd been notified of that fact, rather than left to freak out. Just a thought.

Edit: Never mind, I saw the other replies.

---------------------
A package arrived today from Woot, but it contained a Kodak camera case, as opposed to a Kodak camera. Did anybody else get a camera case in a separate package? I'm really hoping they sent me a free camera case separately, as opposed to them accidentally sending me a camera case instead of the camera I ordered.

If you tap lightly on the button you use to take pictures it will release the previous image from the screen and you can take another photo. My sister discovered that feature. It took me a few tries to catch on to how lightly to tap. It's quite useful.

Yeah, it would have been nice to know. I didn't think to check here until after I sent a message about it. That would explain the two tracking numbers I guess - I thought that was because Smartpost is half FedEx and half USPS or something silly.

Looks like I still have a couple days until I get my camera.

At least I know the camera is on its way!

Got mine today. Camera and bag in one shipment.

The camera was missing its wrist strap though.

There's no wrist strap with this camera. Here's what's shipped in the box per the sale:

Kodak EASYSHARE Z5120 16MP Camera (Choose Color)
Kodak Zoom Camera Case
Lens Cap with Tether
USB Cable
(4) AA Alkaline Batteries
User Guide
