It has a static non working weather band radio, and static analog tuned ordinary am/fm. The device is powered mainly by batteries. Solar and dynamo suppose to recharge these cheap batteries. It's can't be powered by stand alone solar or dynamo. I think if the batteries are out, you have to buy a new batteries, because it can't powered solely on solar or crank. The flash light is not LED, but ordinary bulb and is very crappy. The cell phone charger plugs work with dinosaur aged cell phones. But good deal overall.

yeah, those cell phone plugs won't fit my Razor phone, but will fit my bluetooth. That's the deal breaker for me, almost in for 3 otherwise.
Probably better to just buy one higher quality version based on comments about the quality. Great price tho.

Well I am in for six under my two accounts. I mean, come on, that's $40 for six of these.

Back a few years ago I was paying $50 for just one. Here in San Francisco the power goes out and there's always the earthquakes. So these hand-powered radios are a no brainer.

Plus like others, good to have in the car trunk.

And I am gonna give three away, to friends who don't know how to prepare for emergencies.

These are obviously low quality, but seem a nice toss in the trunk and forget it kind of thing. I have better quality ones [e.g., a Philips] for non-emergency use. These things probably might stand a few cranks before the handle snaps. hohoho!. But why put a $50 radio in the car trunk. This thing has "use once and toss" written all over it.

Sidenote: if those cell phone charger thingies work, that will be a bonus. My BlackBerry charges with a USB port. Don't know if that kind of adapter is included in the batch.

-i own a zune
-i own a 4D cell mag light w/ halagen bulb upgrade, 2 mini mags and a solitar mag
-solar takes forever to do anything useful on anything other than elementary school science projects
-my wrist is broken so cranking is out of the question
-to cheap to buy batteries
-but the color is easy to find as long as you have another flash light to find it

Not that big a deal, but I usually take into account a person's grammar and spelling when reading reviews and posts. That person's post is a bit lacking.

Interesting that Woot says it's an LED bulb, but that person says it's not. Wonder who is wrong.

No matter, if one gets three, that averages out to about $6.50 each. Here in San Francisco that does not get you a hot lunch, but maybe a Starbuck's coffee and egg salad sandwich.

I bought these from woot masquerading on buy.com @$10 each with free shipping (bought 3), knew they were from woot (you can tell these days which products on buy.com are and aren't). I knew they had to have problems when there was such a strict return policy about defects but thought buy.com would keep woot to some sort of quality standard. WRONG!

All three were crap. They are cheaply made, had features broken and the box they come in look like 10 years of shipping wear. Not even gift-able crap.

These are not worth $10 for 1 or $20 for 3.
